Description
Daruma sushi bar takes its name from a wish doll called Daruma. People in Japan traditionally buy it just before New Year's eve. Initially it has blank eyes. Just one eye is coloured and a wish is made for the forthcoming year. The second eye would be coloured only if the wish comes true. The red colour and rounded form were selected as traditional symbols of Japan. The image is a stylized face of the doll that has features of a samurai as another characteristic icon of Japan.
