Eveready battery logo from days gone by. The cat jumping through a number 9 was first used by the National Carbon Company on its Eveready brand batteries c. 1948. National Carbon was later merged into Union Carbide, and the logo is currently owned by its successor, Eveready Battery Company, Inc.
