Description
The University of Sarajevo (Bosnian: Univerzitet u Sarajevu) is the first university in Bosnia and Herzegovina, originally established in 1531 as an Islamic law college, with the modern university being reestablished in 1940. Today, having 23 faculties and 55,000 enrolled students, it ranks among the largest universities in the world in terms of enrollment. Since the university opened its doors, 122,000 students received bachelor's degrees, 3,891 received master's degrees and 2,284 doctorate degrees in 43 different fields.
