Sierra Trading Post opened for business with a 16-page catalog comprised of great deals on famous name brands, all 2nds and Closeouts and all hand-illustrated by Richardson's son, Ron. The catalogs were mailed to 100,000 customers, many of whom are loyal Sierra Trading Post shoppers today.
